Turnbull and Peach

The appreciation and joy of flowers is a universal salve in life. A term of endearment, love, thoughtfulness and empathy. Be they fresh as a daisy or artistically rendered we are captivated by their being.
Nature is a wonder!
ABOUT
Hello I'm Michelle Doig a paper florist and welcome to my website Turnbull and Peach.
I create flowers using my hands and the textural sculptural nature that crepe paper offers. Each blossom is individually cut, coloured, shaped and glued together. The endless possibilities born from such humble materials is totally enchanting.
Petal by petal from shy buds to showy full blooms my flowers grow. It's a mindful process of slow crafting and here in my Derbyshire studio, surrounded by the hills, I delight in this heritage of loveliness.

I was the kid who was always making, inventing and drawing. It was easy to be creative. My Mum made clothes and curated interiors while my Dad grew fruits and built houses from his own designs.
Then I grew up.
Nothing much has changed.
I'm still thrilled to walk in a field of wild grasses. Giddy from the colour and textures of lichen growing on a dry stone wall. Grounded beneath the magistery of trees and mesmerised by a flowers intricate splendour.
